A furniture company with a cafe that doubles as a showroom? And is just the right aesthetic for instagramming, studying, or meeting up with friends of all ages? Genius. I visited Brown Hand’s Busan location last summer and was so excited to find out they have a cafe in Seoul cafe too! Unfortunately, it is…… Continue reading Brown Hands | 브라운핸즈
Another weekend, another brunch cafe~! The Hongdae/Yeonnam area is full of well-known cafes, but this one always came up when I was searching for brunch spots and seemed to be a favorite. One Bite is located a short walk from Hongdae Station, in a lovely building that’s pretty easy to find. When the weather’s warmer,…… Continue reading One Bite | 원바잇
Few things beat going to a cafe with great atmosphere and just hanging out for a while. If I didn’t have a list of things to do, I could’ve spent all day here eating croissants and reading my book. I almost wished I worked nearby just so I could go more often! The Fritz Coffee…… Continue reading Fritz Coffee Company | 프릳츠
Like a much cozier version of the chain bakeries on every corner, Bread Lab has an assortment of pastries and drinks to enjoy while chatting with friends or studying. Located at one of the bigger intersections in this part of Yeonnam, Bread Lab would be easy to miss if it weren’t for their big…… Continue reading Bread Lab | 브레드랩
I love finding cafes that I absolutely love! Especially when they are close enough to home that I can walk, and surrounded by a nice neighborhood. Really the only negative point I have about Cafe 129-11 is the price, making it more of a special occasion place than a daily study spot. The cafe, named…… Continue reading 카페일이구일일 | Cafe 129-11
I had actually walked by this place lots of times without paying attention to it, which is surprising because even just looking at it from the street you can see it’s super cool. As a person who doesn’t drink coffee beyond mochas, I don’t know anything about roasting or bean sources or whatever. If you…… Continue reading 백년커피 | 100 Year Coffee
I semi-frequently end up here even though it’s not my favorite… I can’t really put my finger on what I dislike, so the good points win out! The prices are decent for what you get, the cakes are yummy, and there are lots of tables for hanging out with friends or study. Cafe DZ is…… Continue reading 카페디지 | Cafe DZ
I first walked by this place last winter after I moved to the neighborhood and went exploring. And since brunch is my favorite meal, any place that does brunch sets is worth checking out!
I am a sucker for mid-century style furniture and cafes that are clean and simple without feeling sterile. This place stands out from its surroundings and looks like my dream living room. (Which makes sense considering it is also a kind of furniture gallery.)
Just a short walk away from Ewha University’s front gate, on the 8th floor of Ewha Tower, there is a coffee shop catering to (mostly Ewha) students: Ewha Dabang!
